What types of sand do you deliver?
Mason sand (fine, for mortar and masonry), fill sand (bulk, for trench backfill and leveling), play sand (clean, washed sand for sandboxes), and concrete bedding sand (coarser, for concrete mixes and paver bedding) — delivered across Cedar City and Iron County, UT.
What’s the difference between mason sand and play sand?
Mason sand is fine-grained and uniform — cleaned for mortar bonding. Play sand is also clean but typically washed to remove silt and dust, and meets standards safe for kids’ sandboxes. Don’t substitute mason sand into a sandbox without verifying it’s been washed.
Can I use fill sand for concrete?
No. Concrete needs specific sand gradation (concrete sand or ‘sharp sand’). Fill sand is too uniform and lacks the angular grain bonding that concrete strength relies on.
How much sand do I need?
