FAQ

Questions We Hear a Lot.

What is drain rock used for?
Drain rock surrounds perforated pipe in French drains, footing drains and septic absorption fields. Its angular shape and clean (fines-free) nature lets water move through while supporting the pipe and preventing soil collapse.
What sizes of drain rock do you deliver?
3/4-inch (the standard for residential French drains and footings), 1.5-inch (for septic fields and high-flow applications), septic stone (washed to local specs), and filter/footing stone — all delivered across Cedar City and Iron County, UT.
Do I need filter fabric with drain rock?
Most French drain installs use filter fabric around the rock to prevent soil from clogging the voids. Your plumber will know whether your application needs it — we deliver the rock, you handle the install.
What’s the difference between drain rock and gravel?
Drain rock is angular crushed stone that’s been washed to remove fines (sand and dust). Regular gravel often has fines that fill voids and reduce drainage. For French drains and septic, always use drain rock — not gravel.
How much drain rock do I need?
Calculate your trench volume (length × width × depth) and convert to cubic yards (÷ 27). Most residential French drains run 12-18″ deep × 12″ wide. Call us with the run length and we’ll size the load.
How quickly can you deliver?
Same-day or next-day in most cases for Cedar City and Parowan — call by 10 AM for same-day. Most other Iron County addresses scheduled within the same week.
How is pricing structured?
Per-load, all-in pricing. No yard fees, no fuel surcharges. Call (435) 592-5112 for an on-the-spot quote.
